Kate Stapleton Joins The Center for Family Law

Kate Stapleton joined the Center for Family Law as an Of Counsel Attorney in 2020.
Kate joins the firm after nearly four years of running a successful family law practice, first in Washington State, and then in Missouri. Originally from St. Louis, Kate graduated cum laude from Truman State University. She later earned her J.D. at Saint Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where she interned with the Army JAG Corps. This experience, coupled with her years spent as a military spouse, lends her a robust understanding of military benefits, assets, and their correct allocation at divorce.
Kate lends her time to Volunteer Services of Eastern Missouri and regularly volunteers as a Court Attorney for order of protection dockets at the St. Louis County Circuit Court. Her practice focuses on empowering people to thrive, during and after the divorce process.
Kate loves to travel and has lived in Niger, West Africa through her time in the Peace Corps from 2006 to 2008. After having a family, Kate lived in San Antonio, Honolulu, and Tacoma, Washington during her husband’s military career. She returned home to St. Louis in 2017 with her husband and two children. During her free time, Kate enjoys cycling, hot yoga, painting, and reading.
