Allison joined The Center for Family Law as an associate in 2013 and concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce, paternity, child custody, and juvenile law.  Allison is a certified Guardian ad Litem and also practices law in the area of estate planning and probate matters.

Allison graduated UMKC Law School in May 2012 with an emphasis in Family Law and with Honors for Pro Bono and Public Service. These Honors are bestowed on students who complete 200 hours of legal services to pro bono or governmental organizations. Allison achieved this honor while working as an intern for the Domestic Violence Unit at Legal Aid of Western Missouri, where Allison served clients in need of divorces, orders of protection, and paternity matters. Rounding out her commitment to family law during her legal education, Allison served as President of the Family Law Society and studied elder law and mediation to complete her emphasis.

While President of the Family Law Society, Allison co-created and organized two annual trivia nights, raising over $16,000 to benefit the UMKC Child and Family Services Clinic, which offers free legal services for low-income clients in the area of family and juvenile law.  Allison also worked as a student-attorney in the Clinic, serving clients seeking guardianships, paternity, and custody actions.

In addition to her extensive involvement in the Family Law Program at UMKC, law journals played a role in Allison’s extra-curricular legal education.  Allison worked as a staff editor of the Journal for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a staff member for The Urban Lawyer, a journal focusing on legal issues involved with urban development and sustainability.  She served as a Teaching Assistant, holding weekly tutoring and study sessions for first year law students.  In her final year of law school, she worked as a Legal Intern for the Honorable Michael Manners, a Judge with the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson, County Missouri.

Allison grew up on “the Hill” and in North St. Louis County.  She remains an active member of the St. Louis community.
