Penny Robinson joined The Center for Family Law as a partner in 2019. Since graduating from law school, she has focused her practice on family law, first in Indiana and beginning in 2002, in Missouri. Penny recognizes that clients often come to her in the midst of difficult, emotional situations looking for help in finding solutions to their problems. Meeting an attorney to discuss personal details of one’s life is not easy and Penny strives to be approachable, understanding and empathetic. Her solution-oriented approach helps each client identify the best process for them to use in working towards a resolution. It is important to her to understand what the client’s goals are and to then help the client understand the options available to them. Penny appreciates the importance of being accessible to clients and having an open, honest relationship with them as they navigate their family law matter.
Penny is a graduate of the American Bar Association’s Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute, an intensive nine-day program focusing on trial skills and strategy in family law. Penny has been certified as a family law mediator since 1996, and completed training in the process of collaborative law in 2014. In addition, she is trained as a Guardian ad Litem, an attorney appointed to represent the interests of children in family law cases and has received training as a Parenting Coordinator.
