Courtney began clerking for The Center for Family Law in May 2018 and has transitioned to an associate attorney position upon her admission to the Missouri Bar. She concentrates her practice on divorce, legal separation, child custody and support, modification, guardianship, prenuptial agreements, and orders of protection. Courtney's commitment to family studies lead her to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Alabama (Tuskaloosa). There, she logged over 300 hours in community service mentoring at-risk youth (pre-K through highschool), as well as volunteering at an adult daycare center.
Courtney graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in May 2019. While in law school, Courtney served as an Associate Note Editor for the Jurisprudence Law Review Journal and was a member of the Public Service Advisory Board and Women’s Law Caucus. Courtney took several opportunities throughout law school to obtain hands-on experience in family law by completing an internship at the St. Louis County Court Juvenile Division and an externship with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri – Lasting Solutions. In order to further improve her legal advocacy skills, Courtney was certified as a Missouri Rule 13 Student Attorney with the Children’s Rights Clinic at Washington University in St. Louis and completed over 200 hours representing low income clients in orders of protection, paternity matters, and guardianship hearings.
As Courtney begins her legal career, she is confident that the mentorship and guidance that her colleagues at The Center for Family Law have provided, and continue to provide, have equipped her with the skills, dedication, and knowledge to serve her clients to the best of her ability. Courtney is thrilled to be living out her aspiration of practicing family law in her hometown of St. Louis.
Courtney was born and raised in Eureka, and continues to reside there today with her puppy, Ellie.
